I Was a Model in Asia—Here’s Why My Skincare Routine Made Me Feel Ugly
As a former model in Asia I was under an incredibly STRICT skincare routine
My skincare routine felt like a daily task instead of something enjoyable
A task I despised
A task I hated
A task that made me feel like I wasn’t good enough
That I wasn’t beautiful enough, even though I was a size 0!
All of it felt like a CHORE
My 10 step skin care routine in the morning
Face yoga
Sunscreen every hour
But I followed this chore daily
The brainwashing had succeeded
It felt like I was programmed to fear ANYTHING happening to my skin!
The worst part?
Instead of looking MORE beautiful because of the all the extra care and attention
All the expensive products that only models and editors had access to
[I got pre market advance samples from all top brands from all countries]
❌ And all of the anti-aging serums
I would look in the mirror and see NO changes!!
In fact, I felt like I was getting more UGLY 😔
All the products I was using weren’t healing my skin whatsoever
They were quite literally killing it
Overwhelming it
Putting a fast forward on the aging process 🤯
INSANITY
Ever feel like your skincare routine is just another chore on your to-do list too?
A chore you can’t keep up with?
I understand because I lived it for years
The crazy part?
After I was FIRED as a model
I STOPPED using all the products they forced me to use
The results?
3 tips to simplify your skin-care routine:
1. No more “anti-aging” products
2. No more retinol
3. No more salads
I look like I AGED BACKWARDS an entire decade!
My friends and family couldn’t recognize me
I did the OPPOSITE of what Big Beauty Biz told me to do
So this is my warning to you:
AVOID green salad
AVOID green juice
AVOID iced drinks
AVOID sugar
AVOID Starbucks
Unfortunately most of what you’re told that is healthy in America is only aging you faster 😔
But there’s a BETTER way inside of Genki System™

About Kelly Prehn
Kelly's journey began unexpectedly when a Models 1 agent spotted her in Covent Garden during a ballet rehearsal. Despite landing a six-figure Japanese contract immediately, upon arrival in Tokyo she was deemed 'overweight', fired and sent back to London.
Her breakthrough came when Mr. Shu of Shu Uemura recognized her potential, launching her acclaimed career as a beauty and fashion model across Asia—from Japan and Korea to China and Singapore.
Leveraging her industry expertise, Kelly transitioned from modeling to sharing beauty insights as a columnist, becoming a highly recognized advocate for niche traditional wellness and healing modalities. She was the first to bring these transformative practices to a wider audience. Her influence grows rapidly: 1.4 million books in print, tens of millions of women reached through her teachings on social media, she currently impacts 11 million women monthly—and growing.
